This is the third Braun electic toothbush I have used and its the best. After using it just once I could feel the difference on my teeth - it removes so much plaque.It may be an entry level model but it has all the features that are really needed from the built-in pressure sensor so you don't brush to hard, the indicator light so that you know the battery is running low to the 30 second interval sound to you are reminded to move on to another quadrant of your mouth.
There are two brush heads included in the package which have blue indicator bristles which fade over three months to remind you to change the head.
This brush has a thinner handle and lighter than my previous electric toothbursh which is very useful to me as I have problems with my hands. The toothbrush was quick to charge and holds the charge well so the brush works as well at the end of the week as at the beginning.

The 'Oral-B Pro Care 500' pretty much does what it says on the tin. It is a good quality, easy to use electric toothbrush. My dentist has been hassling me to get one of these for ages, and I'll have to wait for my next check up for the official verdict, but I think there has already a marked improvement in tooth cleanliness.The instructions are minimal and easy to follow - plug in, charge, go! Brushing time is timed to two minutes, in order to prevent over or under-brushing. I think this is fairly standard for this type of kit. The two minutes is broken down further into thirty second blocks, to ensure equal time is spent on each quarter of the mouth. Because you only have to concentrate on the moving the brush around your mouth and not the brushing motion itself, it's much easier to concentrate on those hard to reach places that your dentist nags about every time you visit.

By far the best electric toothbrush I have ever used. Three types of brushes, including one to whiten your teeth and one to floss, ensure that your teeth feel fantastically clean. The toothbrush also lets you know when you need to spit and when time is up. It's also possible to see when it needs recharging, thanks to the battery indicator on the front of the toothbrush. This is particularly helpful if you are going on holiday, so you can charge it before you go. It does say in the instructions that the battery life is about two weeks when brushing for two minutes per day,. but in all honesty, I have found this to be only a week. However, don't let this put you off, it's absolutely fantastic and really will help you keep away from the dentist! PS- comes with a great case so you can take it overnight with you wherever you go!

I only ever give two pieces of advice, first is start a pension early, and the second is see the dental hygienist regularly. I didnt and ended up with gum disease and some expensive treatment. You cannot clean your teeth manually as well as you can with an electric brush. Just my view, but do the tongue test to see what a difference it can make. I have used an electric brush for many years, and this one is the most expensive yet. It has four cleaning settings, from a polish to a deep clean, which I really believe gives me a better clean not just on the surface of the teeth, but at the gum margins, where the plaque builds up. If you have a brush with a timer (essential I believe) then you know it gives a stutter ever 30 seconds so you can move to a different part of the mouth. You sometimes forget just how far into the routine you are... no chance with this one, which gives very clear audible signal every thirty seconds and a longer beep after two minutes- I love this- really useful at...

I have had the electric Oral B toothbrush for a while, and have to say that although I have tried various types of heads on it, I always seem to go back to what I call the 'standard' head. No extra funny bits that claim to floss, pick or whatever else they insist on advertising. These are the best of the bunch in my opinion. Reasonably firm heads (without fearing the loss of teeth), they last a while and are sturdy. In addition to that, they seem to reach all the nooks and crannies you need them to.

Dont understand the negative reviews.been using a new brush for a month, fits perfectly and works fine.
Alot cheaper buying the multipack and i gave a few to my family, no1 has had any problems with it.
